Train fault at Po Lam MTR suspends TKO Line service for an hour

Train services on the Tseung Kwan O line between Hang Hau and Po Lam were suspended for nearly an hour this morning after a train equipment fault at Po Lam MTR Station.

The incident happened at around 7 a.m.

The MTRC dispatched engineers to examine the issue at the Po Lam Station.

The disruption affected commuters travelling to work and school.

Journeys between North Point and Hang Hau or LOHAS Park were extended by 4 to 12 minutes.

After around an hour, the rail operator removed the train with issues away from the main track for more detailed probes and inspection. Rail services resumed normal at around 8 a.m.
