A government senior chemist confirmed that saw marks on Choi's remains matched the tools seized by police.

The three defendants, including Alex Kwong -- Abby Choi's ex-husband --his father Kwong Kau and his brother Anthony Kwong, are each charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of a body.

Prosecution expert and Government Senior Chemist Tam Cheuk-ning continued his testimony.

He was responsible for examining Choi's remains and the seized tools, which included a chainsaw and three handsaws.

Tam confirmed the saw marks on the back of Choi's spine matched the marks made by the police-provided saw.

He pointed out the marks were slightly curved and widely spaced, judging them to be from a chainsaw.

Defence barrister Oliver Davies, representing Kwong Kau, brought out a transparent plastic box of the same model found in the case.

He pointed out its contents were visible, questioning if anyone would use such a box to store a body.

Prosecutor Charlotte Draycott pointed out that according to CCTV footage, two transparent boxes were stacked together at the time.

She asked a police officer to demonstrate, and Tam agreed the boxes became opaque.

The prosecution then summoned an administrator from Choi's daughter's school to testify.

She confirmed Choi did not show up to pick upher daughter at 3:15pm that afternoon.

She tried calling Choi, but the first two calls went unanswered and the line seemed to be cut off.

Another call five minutes later completely failed to connect.

At 3:40pm, she received a call from

Choi's former mother-in-law Li Sui-heung, who claimed to be stuck in a Kwun Tong traffic jam.
