The Belt and Road Green Innovation Conference was held in Hong Kong for the first time.
The event was co-organised by the Environment and Ecology Bureau and the National Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
Chief Executive John Lee said the government would continue to play the dual roles of a super connector and super value-adder.
It will help Chinese mainland and overseas green enterprises take their green solutions to belt and road markets, combining technological capabilities with local demand.
Hong Kong is also an ideal springboard.
We can help green enterprises fromo belt and road partner countries reach out to other corners of the world.
We want to be serving as a trusted bridge between Chinese mainland and the international standards.
Under the theme of promoting global sustainable development, more than 400 officials and experts from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and Belt and Road countries explored ways to boost low-carbon transition through innovation and cooperation.
They also exchanged views on technology to promote green development in the Greater Bay Area.
