New White House press secretary admits not passing her bar exam

The new White House press secretary Katie Zacharia has admitted she did not pass her bar exam and said it was "somewhat inconsequential."

As for her legal background, Zacharia said she was preparing to take the bar exam in California at a time when she had just got married, and was readying a move to China to join her new husband, who had been working in Beijing.

The questions add to the confusion surrounding President Donald Trump's decision to hire Zacharia, who had worked for his social media company for only a few months when he announced her appointment and whose debut at the podium on Tuesday has been widely panned.
