The Observatory says it will assess the need of issuing tropical cyclone warning signals early next week.
A broad trough of low pressure will affect the coast of southern China persistently in the next few days. The weather will be unsettled over the region.
Tropical Cyclone Narra is expected to linger over the vicinity of Beibu Wan tomorrow. It will have higher chance to turn east to northeastwards gradually in the following couple of days, edging closer to the vicinity of Leizhou Peninsula and the coast of western Guangdong.
It will be windier with occasional heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong early to midweek next week.
Besides, the tropical cyclone in the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands will move towards the coast of eastern China today and tomorrow.
