Ground collapse reported at metro construction site in Shanghai

A large sinkhole has swallowed a section of the metro station under construction in Shanghai yesterday. No casualties were reported.
Online footage captured the moment when part of a Shanghai subway construction site collapsed.
A massive sinkhole that stretched dozens of metres opened Thursday morning, swallowing miscellaneous objects and temporary structures in the city's southwest.
The incident occurred between the Qixin Road Station and Xinjian Road Station, which service Jiamin Metro Line.
The collapse followed a reported water leak on Wednesday morning which had been dealt with.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the incident.
