Five foreign domestic helpers among 14 arrested in illegal labour crackdown

A territory-wide crackdown by the Immigration Department has led to the arrest of 14 people.
Investigators raided 22 venues starting last Thursday.
Target sites ranged from beauty centres, hair salons, to restaurants and guesthouses.
Several businesses are suspected of hiring illegal labour, resulting in the detention of seven workers and seven employers.
The seven suspected illegal workers, all women aged 22 to 25, included five foriegn domestic helpers and one former helper who had overstayed her visa.
