Police have arrested a man in connection with three burglary cases in Wong Tai Sin, involving a total of some 80,000 dollars.
Police escorted the suspect back to his residence for investigation.
During the Black Rainstorm Warning last Thursday, police received a report of burglary in a restaurant at Choi Hung.
The restaurant's safe and cash register were taken away, resulting in a loss of about 25,000 dollars.
A 41-year-old suspect was arrested in Mong Kok yesterday afternoon with part of the stolen money recovered.
He is also believed to be connected to two other cases of burglary at a restaurant and a bakery in Wong Tai Sin.
Police say the suspect often commits crimes late at night or during bad weather when there is little traffic on the street.
