Minor earthquake felt by some residents

Initial analysis from the Hong Kong Observatory indicated that an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 has occurred at 10:38 a.m. on 15 July 2025 (Tuesday) in Luzon, Philippines.
The epicentre is located near 18.20N, 120.66E, about 6 kilometres east of Laoag (About 820 kilometres east-southeast of Hong Kong). The focal depth is about 10 kilometres.
The Observatory received over ten locally felt reports of minor shaking, the duration of which was a few seconds. Initial estimate gave a local intensity of II (two) on the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale, that is felt by persons at rest, upper floors, or favorably placed.
