Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or DSE, results will be released this Wednesday.
A student services organisation, Hok Yau Club anticipates increased competition in the Joint University Programmes Admissions System, or JUPAS.
The organisation notes that JUPAS applications have risen by approximately 10 percent compared to last year.
Students are advised to carefully review the data reports published by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority and develop contingency plans based on different score scenarios.
Should DSE results fall below expectations, students should research expected admission scores when adjusting JUPAS choices, and consider options beyond the eight publicly funded universities.
Parents are encouraged to maintain open communication with their children and avoid imposing personal expectations.
The Association has launched a 24-hour DSE hotline, operating overnight from Tuesday to provide academic guidance and emotional support for candidates.
