The feud between Donald Trump and his former ally Elon Musk has reignited. This, after Musk renewed criticism of the U.S. President's sweeping tax cuts and spending bill.
The public row between Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk and Donald Trump first exploded in June, shortly after Musk stepped down from his role in the so-called "Department of Government Efficiency," or "DOGE."
The two exchanged attacks on social media platforms that they each own, with Musk calling for the president's impeachment and saying Trump was in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Trump, who once pledged to buy "a brand new Tesla" as a show of support for his top donor, has threatened to go after Musk's business interests.
A week after the peak of the rift, Musk apologised to Trump and deleted some of his most inflammatory posts.
However, Musk continued to rail against spending increases in the Trump-endorsed "Big Beautiful Bill."
Musk wrote in a post on Monday that the U.S. is governed by "the Porky Pig Party," which refers to what he calls the "Democrat-Republican uniparty."
The billionaire said, "Time for a new political part that actually cares about the people," adding that if the tax bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.
Trump shot back, suggesting Musk is upset over provisions that slash tax credits for the purchase and production of electric vehicles.

Trump said: "Nothing - now he's upset he's losing his EV mandate and he's accepted it and he's very upset about things, but you know, he could lose a lot more than that. I can tell you right now. Elon can lose a lot more than that."
Trump posted on social media overnight that Musk has long known of his opposition against the EV mandate, without it, Musk may have to shut his shops and head back to South Africa.
He further suggested the tech mogul might have received more subsidies than anyone else in history, and threatened to probe Musk's businesses in a fashion similar to that previously conducted by DOGE.
"I think what's going to happen is DOGE is going to look at Musk. And if DOGE looks at Musk, we're going to save a fortune."
When asked about the potential deportation of South African-born Musk, Trump indicated he will have to take a look at that possibility.
