The police received around 200 complaints involving concert ticket scams over the past two weeks, with a total value of more than 1 million dollars.

Some lawmakers suggested the government listen to organisers' requests for increasing the number of tickets.

Authorities said victims of concert ticket scams lost an average of more than 8,000 dollars each.

Concerts held by popular Singaporean singer JJ Lin at Kai Tak and Taiwanese singer Jay Chou at the end of this month saw 33 and 23 fans respectively fall victim to similar scams.
