Australia's opposition coalition has split.
The National Party is breaking its partnership with the Liberals after a heavy election defeat to Anthony Albanese.
The National Party leader David Littleproud says talks broke down and it is time to split.
Differences over renewable energy may have been the final straw.
The parties had worked together since the 1980s with terms constantly being re-negotiated in secret.
New Liberal leader Sussan Ley says she's disappointed.
Ley replaced Peter Dutton after he lost his seat in an election battering which saw Labour's Albanese re-elected with one of the largest victories in history.
