Singapore's People's Action Party captured 87 of the 97 seats in the parliament effectively giving a vote of confidence to prime minister Lawrence Wong.
Wong addressed supporters as PAP took a healthy near 66 percent of the poll. That was up around five points from four years ago.
Wong came to power last year succeeding after Lee Hsien Loong had been in charge for two decades.
The opposition failed to extend gains in previous contests.
The Workers' Party won the 10 seats PAP failed to take.
Analysts call economic uncertainty a key factor in the size of Wong's success with voters appearing to believe Wong is the right man to deal with high living costs and a of housing shortage.
