Hong Kong's Ocean Park Conservation Fund is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The park has announced that it will continue to focus on panda conservation efforts.

The Conservation Fund said it has allocated 112 million dollars over the years to support 587 research projects and conservation initiatives covering more than 280 species.

The park also revealed that the two giant pandas, An An and Ke Ke, which arrived from Sichuan last September, showed signs of estrus in April -- meaning they are sexually receptive. But the pair did not successfully mate this time.

The park also announced a naming contest for the Hong Kong-born panda twins received around 36,000 entries.

The results will be unveiled in May.

The fund is auctioning off a signed foil for a charity campaign -- a fencing sword from Olympic gold medalist Edgar Cheung Ka-long, with a starting bid of 100,000 dollars.

An autographed guitar from British band Coldplay will also be up for grabs, with a start price at 50,000 dollars.

The fund will host a Dog Conservation Carnival in May, where ticket proceeds will support its wildlife conservation projects.
