Typhoon situation in Heng Fa Chuen, Central and Kowloon Bay after nightfall

At nightfall, winds and rain have picked up strength in various districts.

In wind-swept Heng Fa Chuen in the Eastern District, more swells could be seen crashing the shore.

Some waves went as high as lampposts.

Some seawater -- washed onto the promenade.

On Connaught Road opposite the City Hall in Central, occasional showers and largely deserted streets.

In Kowloon Bay, multiple buses are parked at the terminus.

Just a handful of vehicles still run along the Kwun Tong Bypass.
