Hong Kong Airlines Okinawa flights axed owing to Typhoon Champi

Hong Kong Airlines announced a number of flight cancellations owing to the effects of Typhoon Champi.

The carrier noted flights HX658 and HX659 travelling between the city and Okinawa on Thursday have been cancelled.

The fee was waived for affected passengers who wish to rearrange their flights or seek a refund.

The decision was made owing to Champi edging closer towards Taipei, with the airline expecting relevant flights to either be delayed or cancelled between Thursday and Saturday.

Cathay Pacific, meanwhile, announced that it will waive the fee for any changes made for flights initially travelling between the city and Taipei between Friday and Saturday.
