The Kremlin says it is preparing for the bilateral meetings between President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit planned for next month.

Speaking to Time magazine, US President Donald Trump says he touched upon topics of artificial intelligence during his previous talks with Xi and claims Xi has agreed to rename the term to super intelligence.

Trump sits down for an interview with Time magazine at the White House on a wide range of issues including economy and the Supreme Court.

Underscoring he had great conversations with President Xi during his state visit to the US from September 23 to 25, Trump says he and Xi both agreed to rename AI to SI, or super intelligence, when they discussed AI-related issues.

Trump says he doesn't call it artificial intelligence because it's "like CNN, it's fake."

He also mentions Xi was in good health and expects the pair to meet again in the upcoming APEC leaders' summit in China.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says Thursday that he is ready for a trilateral meeting with Trump and Xi if a proper agenda is worked out first.

He says at a diplomatic forum there is no cultural friction in his communication with Xi and adds that they achieve profound mutual understanding even without speaking each other's language.

This as the foreign ministry in Beijing expects broader prospect for Sino-Russia relations on the 77th anniversary of its establishment.

A spokesman says in a press briefing the two heads of state met twice this year in Beijing in May and in Bishkek in August, and under their guidance, both countries will remain true to the founding vision of the diplomatic ties and deepen comprehensive strategic coordination.
