President Xi urges all-out efforts to rescue those missing in quake

President Xi Jinping has ordered all-out search and rescue efforts

for the missing and prompt medical treatment for those injured

in the Xizang earthquake.

CGTN's reporter Zhong Shi said, "the Chinese president stressed the need for close monitoring of seismic

and weather conditions, and scientific rescue operations to prevent

secondary disasters."

"He called for the allocation of relief goods, proper resettlement

of affected residents and a rapid response to damaged infrastructure."
