New International Commerical Court in Hong Kong by next year

The government plans to establish the Hong Kong International Commerical Court next year. The court will locate in the High Court Building.

The court will be a specialist division of the High Court to adjudicate complex international and cross-boundary commerical disputes.

In a statement, the Judiciary says the court will complement Hong Kong's existing dispute resolution framework. Local judges with experience in commerical law will sit on the court, while legal practitioners from other common law jurisdictions may also be invited to sit on an ad hoc basis.
