Fatal fire in Kwai Chung killed a 78-year-old man

A fire broke out in a residential unit in Cho Yiu Tsuen in Kwai Chung, and a man was confirmed dead at the scene.
The windows of the affected unit were blackened.
Police received a report at around 12:30 pm that a fire had broken out in a lower floor unit in Kai Him Lau in Cho Yiu Tsuen.
Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire. A 78-year-old man was confirmed dead at the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
