Xia Baolong briefed on Tai Po fire and Legco elections

Xia Baolong, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office was in Shenzhen today. It's believed that he was briefed on the Tai Po fire and the upcoming Legco elections.
President Xi Jinping had instructed the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and the Liaison Office to support the Hong Kong government in handling issues related to the fire. Xia directed the formation of a task force to go to Hong Kong to assist with disaster relief.
Deputy Directors of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office Xu Qifang and Nong Rong had earlier arrived in Hong Kong to provide assistance.
