Donation to aid Tai Po fire victims exceeded $800 million including clothing

Businesses and organizations continue to donate to aid disaster victims of the deadly fire in Tai Po.

Total donations have exceeded HK$800 million by about noon on Friday.

Guangdong Holdings Group donated HK$20 million in cash for the treatment of the injured, temporary resettlement, and home reconstruction. 

China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Limited will provide HK$10 million in aid to disaster victims through the "China Travel Service Charitable Foundation."

Shangri-La Group and Yuexiu Group donated HK$10 million each. 

Rainbow International donated HK$6 million, including HK$3 million in cash and HK$3 million worth of clothing and daily necessities. 

Clothing brand UNIQLO will provide 10,000 pieces of clothing, including winter coats, thermal underwear, underwear, and socks. 

Lalamove donated HK$6 million to the government's "Tai Po Hung Fook Estate Relief Fund" and will also provide free delivery support for supplies.
