Two deputy directors of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the central government, Xu Qifang and Nong Rong, are leading a working group to Hong Kong to assist in disaster relief efforts.
Zhou Ji, Director of the Liaison Office of the central government, and Nong Rong, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, visited disaster victims at the Tai Po Community Centre this morning.
Nong Rong is leading the working group. Zhou Ji said the two were asked by Xia Baolong, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, to convey President Xi Jinping's condolences to the disaster victims.
