Ferries connecting West Kowloon Cultural District and Central started service

The WestK Ferry, which connects the West Kowloon Cultural District and Central, officially commenced service this morning.

The first ferry departed from Central Pier 9 at 8:00 AM.

Ferries depart every half hour, with a journey time of approximately eight minutes. The last ferry on weekends departs at 11:00 PM, one hour later than on weekdays.

Pets are permitted on the ferry, but separate tickets are required. Pets must be placed in a closed or covered pet carrier, or on a leash and wearing a muzzle.

The company had previously distributed 3,000 adult tickets and 500 pet one-way ferry tickets free of charge. Some residents went to try out the service.
