Starting next month, the West Kowloon Cultural district will set up self-service donation kiosks to accept public donations.
A fleet of 10 self-service donation machines will be stationed at the M+ Museum and the Xiqu centre, and will accept various forms of electronic payment.
The public can also make donations online.
According to the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, the funds raised will be allocated to the M+ Museum, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Performing Arts Division, and the authority to support West Kowloon's operations.
Chief Executive Officer, Betty Fung the self-service donation machines aim to promote public understanding and support for arts and culture.
It also allows the community to take part in shaping West Kowloon's vision.
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority announced last September it recorded a deficit of 769 million dollars for the 2024/25 fiscal year.
