Relatives and friends mourned Sunday at a memorial outside an
Erie, Pennsylvania home, where authorities say a man killed
eight people before killing himself.
Julius Windham's 1 year-old daughter Amarianna and her
mother, Angelina, were among those killed.
He said, "it's crazy how a person could do something like that, so tragic
like that to innocent children. Words can't even explain what I'm going
through right now. But I gotta be strong for my community,
you know what I saying? My family, my daughters, my sons, everybody."
Mourners added flowers and candles outside the home
as longtime friends remembered the victims and struggled
to understand the violence.
Investigators recovered video and audio evidence indicating shots
were fired inside before two distressed women arrived
and pounded on the door.
The gunman emerged and shot the women, before returning inside.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive and the investigation continues.
