Israeli forces kill two attackers in West Bank shooting

Israeli forces shot dead two men following an attack near Hebron in the occupied West Bank that left at least five people injured.

Israel's military said its soldiers shot and killed two men who launched an attack near the Yehuda Junction close to the city of Hebron on Friday morning.

Emergency responders reported that gunfire was still ongoing when they arrived.

At least five people were injured, some critically, and evacuated to hospitals in Israel.

The military established roadblocks and closures across nearby Palestinian towns following the incident.

The attack comes just days before Israeli voters head to the polls next Tuesday to decide whether to give Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu another term.
