Extremely hot weather to continue into early days of next week

Extremely hot weather warning remains in effect as the Hong Kong Observatory records temperatures as high as 36 degrees Celsius, shattering the year’s record.

Most areas in the city has reached temperatures upwards of 35 degrees, with Sheung Shui and Happy Valley breaking 37 degrees.

The Observatory says Tropical Cyclone Dolphin’s outer subsiding air will persistently bring very sunny weather and extreme heat to the city. The forecast sees the high mercury holding steady for the next one to two days.
