Motorcyclist dies after being hit by private car on Tolo Highway

A 39-year-old motorcyclist was suspected of being hit by a private car after having earlier lost control of his vehicle and subsequently falling from it on Tolo Highway.

He was confirmed dead at the hospital.

The accident happened at around 7:30 p.m.

Dashcam footage showed the motorcyclist lying on the ground with at least three vehicles in front of him.

The white private car involved in the incident was lying on its side ahead of the injured 39-year-old.

This as the motorcyclist was driving towards Kowloon before the crash happened near Wan Tau Tong Estate.

The car behind the motorcyclist was suspected of failing to stop in time and rammed into the the latter.

The injured man was found unconscious after the accident and was later confirmed dead at the hospital.

Authorities have arrested the 54-year-old driver of the private car on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
