Water supply suspended in homes, restaurants in Shau Kei Wan

Multiple buildings in Shau Kei Wan experience no water supply this morning.

The Water Supplies Department is currently inspecting pipelines and carrying out leak detection, it has also deployed at least five water tankers to provide temporary potable water.

Residents were seen queuing to collect water earlier at one tankers on Kam Wa Street. Members of newly established "Water Supply Task Force" are on-site to assist residents.

Nearby restaurants are affected, with notices posted outside their doors stating that they need to suspend operations.

A district council member says reports of weak or no water supply were received from multiple buildings this morning, including Tung Yuk Court, Yiu Tung Estate, and the areas along Main Street East and Kam Wa Street.
