Financial Secretary Paul Chan uploaded a video on his blog, saying that on the 27th day of the twelfth lunar month he visited the Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair and spent about HK$3,800 to buy New Year flowers, festive foods, student-made cultural and creative products, and more.
He also went to Kennedy Town, visiting two families in succession to extend New Year greetings.
In his Lunar New Year message to the media, Paul Chan said that looking ahead to the new year, the external environment is full of challenges but also many opportunities. He said the government will consolidate traditional pillar industries while opening up new markets, and will more actively integrate with and serve the country’s overall development strategy.
