CE meets with Beijing party secretary and mayor and tours capital

Chief Executive John Lee arrived in Beijing today where he met with Beijing party secretary and mayor and toured the city's municipal administrative centre.

Upon his arrival in the capital, the CE made his way to the municipal administrative centre where he visited the Beijing Library and the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall.

He believes the planning experience for the centre could contribute to the development of the Northern Metropolis.

Lee then met with Party Secretary Yin Li and Mayor Yin Yong, during which he welcomed more Beijing and mainland businesses to make use of Hong Kong's market and "super connector" role.

This as the CE will attend a joint Hong Kong-Beijing economic cooperation meeting tomorrow, after which he will travel to Shanghai.
