Taizoom lift frame issue inspection and replacement update

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) says that inspections and installation works for fire-resistant door frame components on Taizoom Elevator Company have commenced following their lifts were found to lack these components.

Affected properties include two estates alongside 338 private buildings. Meanwhile, the department is continuing to inspect works overseen by other registered lift contractors, having recently checked an additional 30 buildings to bring the cumulative total to 150 inspected buildings. All of which were found to have their lift door frame components properly installed.
