Abby Choi's murder trial continued in the High Court today.
Three defendants -- including Choi's ex-husband Alex Kwong, his father Kwong Kau and his elder brother Anthony Kwong -- have pleaded not guilty to murder, though they had previously admitted to charges of preventing the lawful burial of a body.
As the court reviewed more evidence, security camera footage from the early hours following the tragedy on February 21, 2023 was played. The clips showed Alex Kwong wearing a face mask as he left the Kadoorie Hill property. Before leaving, he told his mother that he "couldn't find it." His mother replied, "The next step might be coming. Hurry up," adding that she's very scared.
Roughly half an hour later, Kwong Kau was seen driving a seven-seater to the Lung Mei Village unit, where Alex Kwong directed him to reverse and open the trunk. The pair were not seen getting back into the vehicle until they went to drive to a location with large green rubbish bins and discarded some items.
