The trial into the alleged murder of Abby Choi continues into its 27th day, with defendant Kwong Kau changing his plea to guilty for preventing the lawful burial of a body.

The three defendants, including Alex Kwong -- Abby Choi's ex-husband -- his father Kwong Kau and his brother Anthony Kwong, are each charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of a body.

Defendant Kwong Kau appeared calm and answered "guilty" as the court clerk read the charge on preventing the lawful burial of a body.

As for the murder charge, all three defendants continue to deny it.

Police discovered Abby Choi's remains in a unit at Lung Mei Village on February 24, 2023.

Multiple CCTV clips played in court showed Kwong Kau and Anthony Kwong entering and exiting Lung Mei Village on February 7.

On the same day, Anthony Kwong bought two plastic boxes in Kowloon Bay.

The next day in Shanghai Street, Kwong Kau bought a meat grinder, cutting board and meat cleaver.

Anthony Kwong then bought gloves, cable ties and hemp rope, claiming to be for children.

Over the following days, Anthony Kwong bought scissors and disinfectant spray, while Kwong Kau bought an electric saw, blades, boots and soup pots.

In court, police officers brought forth as evidence the soup pot found at the Lung Mei Village unit believed to be purchased by Kwong.

The pot was wrapped in plastic bag, visible signs of use on the bottom.
