US President Donald Trump says he has no plans to meet Brazilian politician-in-exile Flavio Bolsonaro while in Florida.
Trump tells the press at a Halloween party at Mar-a-Lago that the ex-presidential candidate can "stay for as long as he wants," despite entering the US under
discretionary humanitarian parole, which grants him temporary status and a one-year stay.
US President Donald Trump said,'No plans to meet. But I think he got treated very shabbily. So he can stay here as long as he wants. Bolsonaro, he can stay here as long
as he wants. In my opinion, the election was a disgrace. He got treated very shabbily and he can stay here as long as he wants."
When asked by reporters if the United States had helped Bolsonaro flee Brazil, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio answered "We didn't facilitate anything."
He confirmed he had spoken with Brazil's foreign minister in Atlanta and he will be seeing him in France at the G7.
