US President Donald Trump touched on renaming the Atlantic Ocean, and the war on Iran while he campaigned in Mississippi on Monday as part of a closing midterm rally blitz ahead of crucial nationwide elections.

Addressing supporters in Corinth, Mississippi, Trump urged voters to re-elect Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith while praising her short

speech.

During the address, the president mused about geographical names, suggesting he was considering calling the Atlantic Ocean the "American Ocean" while promising he would not rename the Mississippi river.

He also defended White House renovations, insisting the building "has to be clean, pristine, beautiful" following previous criticism from former President Barack Obama, before briefly commenting on the war in Iran where he described a recent temporary ceasefire deal as "just a waste of time."

Trump made the comment referencing to the ceasefire with Iran in June, but the deal collapsed, and failed to achieve any goals.
