The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has released its latest public opinion survey, revealing that over 99% of respondents did not encounter corruption—the highest figure on record—describing society as maintaining a high level of integrity.

Between March and May of this year, the ICAC commissioned an independent research agency to interview approximately 1,500 citizens via household visits. Over 99% indicated that they had not personally encountered corruption over the past year, and the majority expressed willingness to step forward and report it.

Regarding tolerance toward corruption—scored on a scale from 0 (completely intolerable) to 10—the respondents gave an average score of 0.3, reflecting the public's firm opposition to any corrupt behavior.

The ICAC stated that it will continue to handle every complaint impartially, fearlessly, and in accordance with the law, upholding Hong Kong's reputation as a corruption-free capital.
