Residents can submit views on amendments to Fire Services Ordinance

The government has launched a one-month public consultation on proposed amendments to the Fire Services Ordinance and its related subsidiary legislation.
Authorities aim to introduce the bill at the Legislative Council within this year.
The proposed amendments cover six aspects, including reforming the registration and disciplinary regime for registered fire service installation contractors as well as enhance criminal accountability.
The government says it will finalise the legislative proposal as soon as possible after the one-month public consultation.
