More expensive electricity bills starting from June

CLP on Tuesday announces a fuel cost increase to 42.6 cents per unit of electricity starting from June 1st. The adjustment represents a 5.4 percent rise from 40.4 cents in May. This is the third fuel adjustment from the energy company since April, and there has been a steady increase. HK Electric, meanwhile, had said the the cost for each electricity unit will become 31.3 cents in June, marking an increase of 20.4 percent from 26 cents in May.
