Rare blue-crowned Laughingthrushes spotted in Jiangxi

The Blue-crowned Laughingthrush is a Class I protected wild animal in China, known as the "Singing Sapphire" and also called the "Giant Panda of Birds."
With a global wild population of only about 600, it is listed as a critically endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
First discovered a year ago in Xingangshan Town, Jiangxi Province, it has been spotted again this year, with an estimated population of 60-70 individuals.
