Suspected animal cruelty case in Hung Hom with cat allegedly poisoned

A cat was suspected of having its tail clipped and died from poisoning in Hung Hom. 

Police are investigating whether animal abuse may be involved.

The cat involved was kept at a funeral parlour in Hung Hom.

Several police officers arrived to investigate.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals also dispatched staff to help collect and remove the cat carcass.

At around 3:30 p.m., police received a report from the manager of the funeral parlour, stating that their cat's tail was severed inside the shop and suspected it was poisoned. They sent it to a pet clinic and confirmed it was dead.
