US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard resigns, citing she needs to take care of her husband who is battling a rare form of bone cancer. She is the fourth Cabinet member to depart during US President Donald Trump's second term. Gabbard will leave her job overseeing the coordination of 18 intelligence agencies on June 30. Trump, in a social media post, says Gabbard has done an incredible job, and that she will be miss. There had been rumblings Gabbard would split with Trump after the president's decision to strike Iran. A veteran and former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, she built her political career on her opposition to foreign wars. Gabbard's principal deputy, Aaron Lukas, will serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence.
