Four crew members eject safely and are in stable condition after two US Navy jets collided at an air show in Idaho.

The crash at the Mountain Home Air Force Base involved two EA-18G Growlers, a variant of the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet with sophisticated electronic warfare systems.

The aircrafts were performing an aerial demonstration when the crash occurred.

The crew members are in stable condition, base officials says.

The base was locked down immediately following the crash with the remainder of the air show cancelled.

A video captured by a spectator shows the two aircraft appear to make contact and then spin in tandem as the crew members eject and their parachutes open.

In another video, four parachutes open in the sky as the aircrafts plummet to the ground exploding into a fireball upon impact as the crew members drift to the ground nearby.
