Blackout in Tsing Yi following power failure

Several neighbourhoods in Tsing Yi plunged into darkness last night following a power outage. The blackout affected about 5,700 households.
During the outage, it was pitch black at Ching Wah Court and nearby neighbourhoods.
Reportedly, the housing estate's Wah Fung House saw smoke emitted from the meter room.
Apart from Ching Wah Court, Cheung Hong Estate was also in the dark.
Power company CLP said the power supply system in Tsing Yi failed.
After repair work, power has been restored in more 90 percent of the affected households within around 28 minutes.
Electricity supply returned to normal by 2:13 a.m.
