A tourist at Emei Mountain in Sichuan was banned from entering the scenic area for three years after attempting to push a monkey off the mountain.

Footage shows the monkey sitting on a railing eating when a man suddenly shoved it, nearly causing it to fall. The man appeared to smile afterward.

The scenic area placed him on a blacklist for uncivilised behavior.

Mount Emei is home to over 500 Tibetan macaques, a nationally protected species. Feeding, teasing, chasing or frightening the monkeys have been prohibited.
