Tin Hau Festival parade held in Yuen Long

Today is Tin Hau's birthday, which celebrates the birth of the goddess of the sea. A parade was held in Yuen Long this morning to celebrate.

The Yuen Long Tin Hau Birthday Parade was led by a 38-meter-long golden dragon.

Touching the golden dragon symbolizes wishes for prosperity, good health, and many children.

A large "raisin dragon" followed,

The "raisin dragon" from the Junior Police Call campaign promoted anti-fraud messages.

It attracted a large crowd of onlookers along the route.

A total of 33 teams participated in the parade, including Yuen Long rural fireworks teams and groups.

Starting from the Fung Kam Street Stadium, the procession passes through Education Road, Ma Tong Road, and other roads, ending at the Tin Hau Temple.

The annual Tin Hau Festival is celebrated on the 23rd day of the third lunar month. The procession has been held since 1963 to pray for favorable weather and abundant harvests.
