Robot monk initiated into Buddhist order in South Korea

In South Korea, a Buddhist temple held an initiation ceremony for a humanoid robot.
Draped in Buddhist robe, the robot monk, Gabi, was initiated into the Jogye order at Jogyesa Temple in Seoul on Wednesday.
It also received five Buddhist precepts, which are the ethical rules governing Buddhist practice including prohibition to harm life -- and even "not to overcharge" to conserve energy.
The 130-cm tall robot was manufactured by Chinese robotics company Unitree.
