One dead and another injured after fire broke out in Kowloon Tong residence

At least one person died after falling from height and another was injured after a fire broke out in a residential unit on Boundary Street in Kowloon Tong.
Several fire services personnel and police officers were seen on site outside the Royal Garden flat.
Authorities searched the affected unit confirming that no one was trapped inside.
The incident happened at around 7 p.m. when a fire broke out in the unit, during which a 26-year-old man fell from height before landing onto the housing estate's parking lot.
Rescue personnel brought him to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment but was later confirmed dead.
Another woman in her eighties was sent to hospital for treatment after she felt unwell from heavy smoke inhalation.
The blaze was put out after around half an hour, with police officers calling the fire "suspicious" after discovering large amounts of accelerants and other hazardous items inside the unit.
Authorities have listed the case as arson.
